Argentina launches an anti-dumping investigation into synthetic warp knitted fabrics against China
 On December 1, 2022, the Argentine Ministry of Economic Affairs issued a case-filing notice and decided to launch an anti-dumping investigation into synthetic fabrics originating in China.

 

Name of the product involved: synthetic warp knitted fabric (Raschel), elastic yarn content greater than or equal to 5% (excluding rubber thread), width less than or equal to 30 cm; non-straight side bands on one or both sides, synthetic fiber material, elastic yarn content greater than or equal to 5% (excluding rubber thread). The products involved are Tejidos de punto por urdimbre (raschel), de fibras Sint é ticas, con un contenido de hilados de elast ó meros superior o igual al 5% en peso (sin hilos de caucho), de ancho inferior o igual a 30 cm; y cintas con uno o ambos bordes no rectil í neos, de fibras Sint é ticas, con un contenido de hilados de elast ó meros superior o igual al 5% en peso (sin hilos de caucho); the customs codes of the involved products are 6002.40.20 and 6307.90.90.

 

The dumping investigation period of this case was expected to be from July 2021 to November 2022, and the injury investigation period was from January 2019 to November 2022. Within 30 days of the announcement of filing the case (may apply for extension), all interested parties shall submit the questionnaire.

According to Argentine customs data, imports of the goods involved from China in 2021 totaled US$13.5341 million, up 94.66% from the same period of last year. Imports from China reached US$18.379 million from November 2021 to October 2022, up 47.87% on the year. In 2021, the main export provinces and cities of the goods involved were mainly Zhejiang, Guangdong and Shanghai.
