According to monitoring data from the China National Commercial Information Center, the retail sales of bedding products in key large-scale retail enterprises (mainly department stores) nationwide increased by 1.35% year-on-year in Sep 2023. In the first three quarters of 2023, the retail sales of bedding products increased by 9.42% year-on-year.
Looking at the brand data in Sep, the average retail price of bedding products increased by 5.82% compared to the previous year. The sales prices of products in the monitoring range mainly concentrated in the price range of 1,000 to 2,000 yuan. The market share of brands with an average price between 1,000 to 2,000 yuan increased by 7.89 percentage points compared to the previous year, while the market share of brands with an average price between 500 to 1,000 yuan decreased by 4.27 percentage points.
The combined market share of the top ten brands is 48.28%, which increased by 0.09 percentage points compared to the same period last year and by 0.67 percentage points compared to last month.
