On April 9, 2025, South Korea's Ministry of Economy and Finance issued announcement No. 2025-98, stating that at the request of South Korean companies, an anti-dumping mid-term review investigation will be initiated against polyethylene terephthalate (PET) film exported by Kanghui New Material Technology Co., Ltd. and its affiliated companies from China, as well as Tianjin Wanhua Co., Ltd. The investigation will assess whether it is necessary to adjust the current anti-dumping duties. The period for this anti-dumping investigation is set from July 1, 2023, to June 30, 2024. Unless extended (for a maximum of four months), the mid-term review is expected to be completed within four months. The Korean tax numbers for the products in question are 3920.62.0000 and 3920.69.0000. The announcement takes effect from the date of publication.
