Anhui Haoyuan Chemical Group has started test run of its 400kt/year nylon 66 polymer plant, phase I of its nylon 66 project, and has yielded product successfully.
The nylon 66 project is located in the Coal-Based New Materials Industrial Park of the Fuyang Yingdong Economic Development Zone. The construction includes a 270,000 tons/year nitric acid unit, a 240,000 tons/year cyclohexanol unit, a 320,000 tons/year adipic acid unit, a 400,000 tons/year nylon 66 polymer unit, and supporting public utility facilities. The project commenced construction in 2022.
"Currently, the company is using technology from the American company Invista, which can save 10% in energy compared to conventional processes, achieving high-quality standards in terms of product quality. Through the construction of the fourth phase of the new materials project, the company has achieved a qualitative transformation from traditional coal chemical industry to new materials chemistry," said Zhang Chao, Assistant General Manager of Anhui Haoyuan Chemical Group. He also mentioned that upon completion of the project, the company expects to achieve sales revenue of 16 billion yuan and a profit of 1.6 billion yuan.
